Sima Ahuja

Sima Ahuja serves as the College Counsel at Marist College, stepping into the role as the institution's first in-house attorney. With a rich and diverse background in higher education law, she passionately merges her legal expertise with her affection for New York. Sima's valuable experience includes serving as the General Counsel at Metropolitan College of New York and contributing to the Office of General Counsel at The City University of New York. Her broad skill set encompasses higher education and nonprofit law, litigation and regulatory affairs, employment practices, intellectual property matters, and navigating complex agreements and transactions. Sima excels in building trust and relationships with senior management, regulatory bodies, and various legal counterparts. Committed to continuous growth, she is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Higher Education at the School of Public Affairs at Baruch College, complementing her Juris Doctor degree and enhancing her support for higher education institutions.
