David Zhai

David Zhai is an experienced Design and Product leader focusing on the built environment, skilled in combining technology, data, and design operations to create scalable products and solutions.

He excels in standards and prototypes creation, product management, BIM, and team building with a key interest in architecture, real estate, and construction, particularly in building digitization, data, decarbonization/electrification, and renewable energy infrastructure.

David holds degrees in Architecture and Environmental Science from Columbia University and the University of Toronto.

His professional journey includes roles such as Staff Manager at Tesla, Global Director of Architecture & Design Technology at WeWork, and Head of Design Strategy & Operations at Integrated Projects, among others.

He has also been involved in academia as an Adjunct Associate Professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology and Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation.
