David Young

David Young is a conflict and governance advisor renowned for his extensive field experience in conflict and post-conflict environments such as Afghanistan, Israel/Palestine, the Balkans, the Caucasus, and Northern Ireland. With a strong academic background, he studied at the Institute For Conflict Analysis And Resolution, earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from Davidson College, and a Master of Science from George Mason University. David has been actively involved in various well-known organizations including the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, Council on Foreign Relations, American Security Project, Adam Smith International, United States Institute of Peace, World Bank, United States Department of Defense, and Search for Common Ground, among others. Throughout his career, he has held roles such as a Stabilization and Elections Team Lead, Conflict and Governance Consultant, Governance Consultant, Advisor and Social Scientist, and Program Officer.
