David Wright

David Wright is the Head of Client and Dealer Sales for the EMEA region at MarketAxess, a leading technology company specializing in global fixed income trading. He has held this position since July 2014 and is based in London, where he oversees the European sales teams for both execution platform and data sales, and is a member of the European Management Team at MarketAxess.12

Career Background

Wright has extensive experience in the finance industry, with a career spanning over three decades. Prior to his current role, he worked at various prestigious financial institutions:

• Chalkhill Partners LLP: Worked in debt origination for six months in early 2014.
• RBS Global Banking & Markets: Served as Co-Head of European Credit Sales from November 2010 to August 2013, managing relationships with institutional clients.
• Morgan Stanley: Head of UK credit sales from 1998 to 2008, where he developed a strong market presence in the £ Sterling franchise.
• HSBC Global Banking and Markets: Co-Head of UK credit sales from 1992 to 1997.
• Lloyds Investment Managers: Started as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager from 1987 to 1992, managing various fixed income portfolios.123

Education

Wright graduated from the University of Liverpool (1983-1987) and attended Marlborough College (1978-1982) for his earlier education.1
