Case subjects have included: valuation and negotiation; statement of cash flows and cash flow management; simulations related to mergers & acquisition activity in the wine/beer/spirits industry, co-founder equity splits and management of working-capital decisions; term-sheet evaluation; international real estate project finance; lending decisions from the banking side related to small-business expansion; technology industry and impact on national culture (Finland); managing scaling and growth; angel and venture-capital investing; dealing with situations involving FCPA/corruption; venture investment analysis; forms of corporate formation; and cross-cultural awareness and analysis of cross-border venture expansion, among others. FIN407 is focused to prepare students for fixed-income-related material and questions on the CFA Level I Examination.

The Boyd Law School course LAW790-1004 was co-taught with a Las Vegas-based attorney and shared many case-study aspects as utilized in the Lee Business School courses. LAW 790-1012 was solo taught and also involved aspects similar to the LBS coursework.
