David Wilkinson

David Wilkinson is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Reuters Imagen, a media asset management company that was acquired by Reuters in 2023.13 With a background in growing venture-backed businesses, Wilkinson has been instrumental in driving the use of AI-powered workflows in sports and media to increase efficiency and reduce costs for clients and partners.1

Prior to his role as CEO, Wilkinson served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Imagen.2 His career path includes training as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young before transitioning to the technology sector.5

Under Wilkinson's leadership, Reuters Imagen has developed a strong presence in the sports and media industry. The company's client roster includes prominent organizations such as the English Premier League, Banijay, BBC, MHz, FIFA, and the Olympics.1 Reuters Imagen specializes in providing solutions for businesses, sports organizations, and media companies to manage and maximize the value of their growing content libraries.3

Wilkinson is actively involved in industry events and leadership development. He recently participated in the Football Summit 2024 in Brussels, where he discussed the benefits of Reuters' acquisition of Imagen for sports broadcasting customers.2 Additionally, he has been part of leadership programs, such as the Thomson Reuters Elevate leadership program at MIT Sloan School of Management.6

As CEO, Wilkinson leads a team of executives including Anna Cotton (CMO), Nick Ashwin (CRO Americas), and Ian McLaren (CPTO).4 Together, they are working towards Reuters Imagen's mission of building the world's smartest video management platform.4
