Throughout his career, David has held key roles in various organizations and government departments, focusing on national programs, policy formulation, and executing climate change agreements.

His expertise led him to play a pivotal role in setting up The Carbon Trust in the early 2000s, where he served as the Technology Director and later as Director of Projects, overseeing the organization's international portfolio.

In 2011, David established David Vincent & Associates Ltd., an independent strategic energy consultancy that collaborates with business and public sector clients to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change and the shift to a low-carbon economy.
