David Tovani

David Tovani is an accomplished aerospace engineer with 16 years of experience, currently serving as the Spacecraft Lead at BAE. He was instrumental in the growth of Accion Systems, a pioneering electric propulsion company, from 3 to nearly 40 employees.

With a background in mechatronic systems engineering and mechanical engineering from the University of Denver and University of Colorado Boulder respectively, David has a broad skill set in electronics, firmware/software, embedded systems, thermal design, mechanical design, RF, and test engineering.

David Tovani has a proven track record in leading teams, delivering successful aerospace products to space, and playing key roles in various aspects of spaceflight, from human spacecraft to electric propulsion systems.

His experience spans roles such as Principal Systems Engineer at BAE Systems, Lead Test and Customer Engineer, Senior Electronics Engineer, and Lead Engineer at Accion Systems, as well as positions at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, where he was involved in the Engineering Leadership Development Program and worked as an Electrical Engineer and Mechanical Engineering Intern at Kiewit.

David Tovani's passion lies in collaborating within teams to solve complex challenges in the realm of space technology. He has contributed significantly to the development of ion engine technology and other advanced space systems.
