David Tisch

David Tisch is a prominent businessman and angel investor based in New York City. He serves as the Chairman of Good Dog, a marketplace designed for finding pets online, a position he has held since January 2018. Tisch is also the Managing Partner of BoxGroup, a seed-stage venture capital firm that has invested in over 300 startups, including well-known companies like Warby Parker and Stripe.13

In addition to his role at Good Dog, Tisch is a co-founder of TechStars NYC, a startup accelerator, and has served as a board member for various organizations, including Hudson River Park Friends and New York Public Radio. He has a strong academic background with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. Tisch has also been involved in education as a professor at Cornell Tech, where he led the Startup Studio program.132

Tisch comes from a notable family; he is the grandson of Laurence Tisch, co-owner of Loews Corporation, and his family has a history of involvement in business and philanthropy.3 He resides in the West Village of New York City with his wife and children.
