David Tester

David Tester is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in data sciences, machine learning, and software engineering. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the prestigious University of Oxford, a Bachelor's Degree from North Carolina State University, and a Master of Science (M.S.) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently, David serves as the VP of Data Sciences & Machine Learning at Valo Health. Previously, he held the position of Associate VP, Head of Data Science and Engineering at Sanofi. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences) and Google in the genomics division. David has also contributed to various organizations such as Broad Institute, Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Cambridge Semantics, and the US Department of Health and Human Services. His academic journey includes roles as a Visiting Researcher at the Broad Institute, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Stipendiary Lecturer, and Faculty Tutor at the University of Oxford.
