David Simon

David Simon is a passionate geospatial and GIS professional with a strong focus on the intersection of geography and environmental studies. He excels at uncovering location-based insights related to plants and animals.

During his tenure as the GIS manager at Ohio University, David drove the adoption of GIS across multiple departments, fostering collaboration and showcasing the potential of GIS applications in various fields.

Since 2017, David has thrived as a freelancer, assisting organizations in database development, educating students, and enhancing both residential and commercial landscapes. His overarching goal is to deliver long-lasting, high-quality solutions for his clients.

His skill set includes expertise in ArcGIS, geodatabase design, geospatial analysis, project management, landscape design, and tree care.

David's academic background comprises a Master's in Environmental Studies with a focus on Geography and GIS from Ohio University, as well as a Bachelor's in Conservation from Kent State University.
