Part of the OpenStack Infrastructure core team. Primary focus is working with a team that is developing the new Zuul CI/CD system (version 3) used by OpenStack. Wrote the Nodepool portion of Zuul, with participation of the open source community. Nodepool is a multi-threaded, long-running service written in Python that provides resources to the Zuul engine (via communication over a ZooKeeper enabled API) to run various tests. Nodepool is designed with a driver API that allows for inclusion of any resource provider (OpenStack clouds, kubernetes, OpenShift, etc).

Software Engineer

Worked with both the Ansible and OpenStack upstream communities to create and enhance the OpenStack modules found in the Ansible 2.0 code base.

One of the primary developers of the Shade library, used by the Ansible modules and OpenStack infrastructure tooling, to communicate with OpenStack clouds and hide various provider differences in their cloud installations.

Member of the Core Infrastructure team focusing on OpenStack automation, continuous integration, testing and Open Source developer tools (Gerrit, Jenkins, Puppet, etc.). Added the Work In Progress feature to Gerrit.

Senior developer on the Load Balancer as a Service project within HP. Open sourced this code as the Libra project (https://github.com/stackforge/libra). Worked with multiple Open Source projects (OpenStack, Gearman, python-gearman) to upstream modifications that were needed for the LBaaS solution.

Core developer for the OpenStack Ironic project which focuses on bare metal provisioning through integration with OpenStack Nova, or as a standalone service.

Assisting with creating and updating a new set of Ansible OpenStack cloud modules and the new open source libraries they use to hide vendor cloud API differences.
