David Sheppard

David Sheppard is a skilled professional with a background in managing metering systems and associated infrastructure, specializing in the development, design, and management of complex remote measurement and data management systems. His expertise spans across electrical, telecommunications, and software systems, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to his work. With a Masters of Engineering in Power Systems from the University of Southern Queensland and additional studies at QUT, David has a strong educational foundation to support his practical experience. He has held several key roles in the industry, including Metering Systems Strategy Manager at Yurika, Energy Queensland, and ENERGEX, where he also served as the OT&T Systems and Measurement Manager and managed Energex Metering Dynamics. Through his involvement in the Smart Grid Trial, David has gained valuable insights into LV distribution network operations, voltage management, load flows, and embedded generation like solar, further enhancing his knowledge and capabilities.
