David Schecter

David Schecter is a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellow at Montefiore Medical Center.13 He received his medical degree from the Frank H. Netter, MD School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center.1

Background and Education

David was born and raised in New York. After obtaining his medical degree, he went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center before starting his current fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.1

Current Role and Interests

As a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellow, David is receiving specialized training in the diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases and critical illnesses. He is part of the fellowship class of 2024 at Montefiore Einstein.3

David has expressed a commitment to social justice and health equity. He has a strong interest in using accurate data to better serve his patients. His specific areas of focus include:

• Cancer epidemiology
• Early detection of lung cancer
• Lung cancer screening and diagnostics1

Through his fellowship training at Montefiore Einstein, David is gaining experience in caring for a diverse patient population and developing skills in both clinical practice and research methodologies related to pulmonary and critical care medicine.2
