    Dr. David L. Reich MD is a distinguished expert in the field of anesthesiology with a rich background spanning over three decades.

    Having joined Mount Sinai in 1984, he has held various key positions including Chair of Anesthesiology from 2004 to 2014 and President and COO of The Mount Sinai Hospital in 2013.

    Dr. Reich's research interests encompass a wide array of topics such as neurocognitive outcomes post cardiac and aortic surgeries, intraoperative hemodynamics effects, medical informatics, and hemodynamic monitoring.

    He is a prolific author with over 120 peer-reviewed articles, 30 invited articles or editorials, and 36 book chapters to his credit.

    In addition, he serves as an associate editor and lead editor for prominent textbooks in the field of anesthesia.

    His contributions extend beyond research as he actively participates in various committees at Mount Sinai and has been instrumental in medical education as a course director.

    Dr. Reich's academic achievements include being named the Horace W. Goldsmith Professor of Anesthesiology and receiving the Jacobi Medallion for his outstanding contributions.

    Educationally, he holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Thomas Jefferson University, a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Penn State University, and has undergone training at Central High School.

    Currently, he holds the position of President and Chief Operating Officer at The Mount Sinai Hospital.

    In the past, he has occupied roles such as Cardiac Anesthesiologist, Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Fellowship, Anesthesia Resident, and General Surgery Resident at various esteemed institutions.
