David Porter

David Porter is a seasoned retail executive with over 30 years of experience in board leadership, corporate governance, fiscal oversight, management, and organization design.

He currently serves as the Chairman of the board at Serta Simmons Bedding, a leading North American bedding manufacturer known for its commitment to customer satisfaction.

In his role at Microsoft Stores, David leads a dedicated team of 3,700 individuals who help customers discover and engage with Microsoft products, supporting small businesses and uniting people with their passions.

Prior to his time at Microsoft, he managed the home video retail business for DreamWorks and held various leadership positions at Wal-Mart over 25 years, focusing on entertainment, merchandising, digital initiatives, auditing, and licensing.

David's educational background includes studying at East Central University.
