David Porter

David Porter is a seasoned professional with a goal to create and lead ventures that capitalize on the social connectivity of the internet to provide unique value for music creators and consumers.

Currently, David is involved in multiple ventures including 8tracks, a crowd-curated playlist streaming service; Feature.fm, a comprehensive platform for music marketers; and NextUp, a productivity and mindfulness tool.

In the past, David has worked at Live365 as a pioneer in user-programmed internet radio and at Arthur Andersen in London and Chicago in audit and advisory roles.

David's educational background includes a Berkeley MBA and a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. He is also a CPA.

David has held various roles in different organizations such as former Principal Product Manager at Amazon, Advisor at Feature.fm, President at Feature.fm, Founder & CEO at NextUp, Founder & CEO at 8tracks, and GM & Director of Business Development at Live365, among others.

His professional experience ranges from marketing and business development to consulting and auditing, with a diverse background in both music technology and financial services.
