    David Pitman is a Gen AI Engineering Lead at Google with over 10 years of experience in AI/ML and fifteen years in software engineering, AR, web, and mobile technologies.

    He is a MIT Alum and research scientist with a focus in AI and HCI, and a coauthor of the O'Reilly book 'Explainable AI for Practitioners.'

    David has a strong leadership background, having started tech innovation teams, led multinational teams, and worked as a serial entrepreneur across multiple startups with successful acquisitions.

    In the AI and Engineering space, David is currently a technical lead in generative AI at Google Cloud, specializing in Explainable AI and Responsible AI.

    He has expertise in designing and implementing AI systems for various applications including flying drones, diagnosing neurological conditions using AI, and machine learning on complex data.

    David also has a significant product design experience, having worked on UI/UX for apps with millions of downloads, and designing user experiences for products ranging from high-speed train cockpits to sophisticated telecom diagnostic tools.

    Before his entrepreneurial ventures, David competed internationally in canoe/kayak and rowed Division 1 crew at MIT. With two degrees from MIT in computer science, he has a solid educational background in AI and HCI.

    David has held various roles at organizations including Google, AIG, MIT, Converge, Fenix International, and more.
