David Pine

David Pine is a highly experienced and results-driven software engineer with proficiency in adaptability and problem solving. He studied Computer Information Systems - Engineering at DeVry University, and has since then worked in several organizations, including Silgan Containers, Johnson Controls, and Centare. Pine is currently a Senior Content Developer at Microsoft, having previously worked as a Solutions Architect, Senior Software Engineer, and Technical Evangelist at Johnson Controls, and as a Consultant and Senior Web Application Developer at Centare.

Pine began his interest in software engineering as a youth, playing FPS games like Wolfenstein, Quake, Half-Life, and Doom, among others. He enjoyed delving into the mechanics and coding behind these games, which led him to teach himself how to use QuArK and Valve Hammer, honing his artistic and three-dimensional skills in the process. Building elaborate architectures, applying visual textures, and mastering light source placement quickly became his passion.

As a software engineer, Pine is well-versed in the .NET ecosystem, team software engineering, and agile development methodologies. He has been a significant part of Microsoft’s content team for some time now, leading content development and management efforts for enterprise clients.
