David Pescovitz

David Pescovitz is a veteran journalist, strategic foresight consultant, and co-founder/editors of Boing Boing. He is also a co-founder/Managing Partner at Ozma Records, a music label, and publisher focused on the intersection of science and culture. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Electronic Media from the University of Cincinnati and a Master's in Journalism from UC Berkeley.
Pescovitz has extensive experience, spanning decades, in media, publishing, marketing, and content strategy. He has collaborated with select organizations such as X – The Moonshot Factory, Tencue Productions, and a privately held global investment firm. As a strategic foresight consultant, he leads research projects for senior executives at Fortune 500 companies like Procter & Gamble, AT&T, and General Motors. Pescovitz's expertise also includes leading research as a research affiliate at the Institute for the Future. He has authored several publications, including co-writing the book Reality Check, based on his long-running futurist column in Wired magazine, and has written for various publications, including The New York Times, CNN, Scientific American, IEEE Spectrum, and Bloomberg Businessweek. Pescovitz often presents at large international conferences about the future of technology and innovation and has been a featured guest on NPR’s All Things Considered, the BBC World Service, and NBC Nightly News.
