David Orchard

David Orchard is a Staff Engineer at Chainlink Labs, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He joined Chainlink Labs in May 2023 and is part of the Economics team, focusing on incentivizing broader community participation.12

Before his current role, Orchard worked as a Staff Front End Engineer at Dapper Labs from June 2021 to April 2023. There, he was involved in developing GraphQL APIs and React/Typescript front-end components for NFT services on the Flow blockchain. He led the creation of the platform services team and contributed to projects like NBA Top Shot.1

Earlier in his career, Orchard held various positions at Walmart Global Tech from June 2014 to May 2021, where he worked on the online grocery front end for Walmart.com. His role included significant contributions to the tech stack and architecture decisions for integrating grocery and general merchandise services.1

Orchard has also held roles at BEA Systems as Director in the CTO office and at Jamcracker as Lead Architect and Standards Officer. His career began with IBM Global Services, where he was a senior architect.1
