David Muhlgay

David Muhlgay is a senior business executive with extensive experience in CEO and CFO roles in the water industry.3 He served as the CEO of Omis Water Ltd., which operates the IDE Hadera Desalination Plant, one of the world's largest seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination facilities.24 The Hadera plant has a maximum capacity of 160 million m3/year and produces 137 million m3/year of drinking water, supplying about 17% of Israel's population.2

Muhlgay joined IDE Technologies in 2014 as CEO of Omis Water Ltd..1 He has been instrumental in managing the operation and maintenance of the Hadera Desalination Plant, focusing on safety, plant resilience, cost control, and long-term profitability.2 Under his leadership, the plant achieved remarkable efficiency, with no membrane replacement required during the first 10 years of operation.2

In May 2022, Muhlgay celebrated IDE Technologies winning the Desalination Company of the Year 2022 award.5 He has since moved to the role of VP Oversea Subsidiaries at IDE Technologies.6
