David Mace

David Mace is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SwiftScale Biologics, a life sciences startup based in San Francisco, California. The company focuses on accelerating the time to market for protein drugs by transforming the labor-intensive drug production scale-up process into a computational challenge.12 Before founding SwiftScale Biologics, David was an Entrepreneur in Residence at 8VC, where he concentrated on the intersection of biology and computer science.13 He holds a degree from the California Institute of Technology.2

SwiftScale Biologics is known for its innovative approach to biologics manufacturing through cell-free protein synthesis, which allows for faster and more consistent production processes.3 The company was acquired by National Resilience, Inc. in December 2021, after which David Mace and his team joined Resilience to continue developing this technology.4
