Dr. David Lawrence is a highly educated and experienced professional with a diverse background in medicine and sports and exercise medicine.
He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Toronto, where he also completed a Family & Community Medicine Residency and a Sports & Exercise Medicine Fellowship.
Furthermore, Dr. Lawrence pursued a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, continuing his academic excellence.
Dr. Lawrence has held prominent positions in various prestigious organizations. He served as the Lead Team Primary Care Physician for the Toronto Blue Jays, providing expert medical care to the team.
Previously, he worked as the Assistant Medical Director at the Dovigi Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic at Mount Sinai Hospital within the Sinai Health System. He also served as a Sports Medicine Physician at the David L. MacIntosh Clinic at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education.
Dr. Lawrence's expertise extends to the field of concussions, where he worked as a Concussion Consultant at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and conducted clinical research in concussion, injury prevention, and sports medicine at the University of Toronto.
In addition to his medical roles, he also has experience as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Haliburton Hospital, showcasing his versatility in multiple medical specialties.
