David Lawrence

Dr. David Lawrence is a sports and exercise medicine physician who serves as the lead team primary care physician for the Toronto Blue Jays.12 He completed his medical education, including medical school, family & community medicine residency, and sports and exercise medicine fellowship, at the University of Toronto.1 Additionally, he holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.1

His clinical interests include sports-related concussion management, and he is actively involved in research, focusing on sports-related concussion and injury prevention.1 Dr. Lawrence has published in high-impact sports medicine journals and presented his findings at international conferences.1
Dr. Lawrence holds hospital privileges at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and Haliburton Highlands Health Services Hospital.1 He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Canadian Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).1
