David Klatzmann

David Klatzmann is a prominent figure in the field of immunology, currently serving as the Coordinator at the Inflammation-Immunopathology-Biotherapy Department in France. He has held this position since 2012, where he oversees a department that integrates 15 medical units focused on clinical immunology, including specialties such as Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Nephrology. The department also comprises five hospital laboratories and five research teams, dedicated to healthcare, research, and teaching.

In addition to his role as Coordinator, Klatzmann is a Professor of Immunology at Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC-Paris6) since 1981. He also serves as the Chief of Biotherapy at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, a position he has held concurrently since 1981. His past experience includes coordinating the COMPUVAC European project from 2005 to 2009.
