David Kettle

David Kettle is a highly experienced minister who has served in various roles within the Presbyterian Church in Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces.

He was ordained in 1978 and served a three-point charge in South Western Ontario before joining the Canadian Armed Forces as a chaplain, representing the Presbyterian Church.

During his nearly 30-year tenure as a chaplain, David rose to the position of Chaplain General, showcasing his leadership and dedication.

In 2011, he transitioned to working for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Canadian Agency and became its Secretary General in August 2013.

David has a deep passion for commemoration and honoring the memory of war dead, aligning with his role during significant historical anniversaries.

He holds an impressive educational background, including studies in theology, divinity, history, political science, and refresher courses in business.

His organizational involvement spans across the Presbyterian Church in Canada, Canadian Armed Forces, and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, reflecting his diverse experience and skills.

Currently, David is poised to retire from his role as Secretary General of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to take on a new venture as the minister of First Presbyterian Church in Pembroke, Ontario.
