David K. Peterson is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background and extensive experience in education and debate coaching.
David holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Sociology with a Critical Theory Emphasis from the University of California, Irvine. He also obtained a Master's Degree in Sociology from the same institution, as well as a Master's Degree in Pan-African Studies with a Sociology Emphasis from the University of Louisville. His Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy is from California State University-Long Beach.
In addition to his academic achievements, David has a keen interest in languages. He completed an Intensive Mandarin Program Certificate in Chinese Language and Literature at East China Normal University.
David is the Founder and Principal at Dialogy Education, where he brings his expertise in sociology, critical theory, and education to provide high-quality educational services. He has also contributed to various organizations and institutions in different roles such as being a former Member of the WSDC Ltd. Board of Directors at the World Schools Debating Championships.
David has an extensive background in academia, having served as an Adjunct Honor's College Professor at Shanghai International Studies University. He has also held positions such as Executive Director of Experience at LearningLeaders, Adjunct Debate Trainer at Fudan University, and Adjunct Debate Trainer at Shanghai University of Finance & Economics.
Furthermore, David has experience in education management, having worked as a Senior Research Manager at Dipont Education and as a Debate Program Director at Daechi Debate Institute. His passion for debate and education is evident through his role as a former Debate Coach at Compton High School.
