David Joyner

David Joyner is the Executive Vice President of CVS Health and the President of CVS Caremark, overseeing the pharmacy services segment and leading a team dedicated to providing innovative solutions to customers such as employers, health plans, and government businesses for prescription drug coverage and health services.

With nearly 40 years of experience in the health care and pharmacy benefit management industry, David is passionate about enhancing costs, quality, and access for customers and their members. He currently serves as the Board Chairman for the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA).

David Joyner holds a BA in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business and is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). His professional background includes various executive roles at CVS Health, CVS Caremark, and other organizations, where he has worked in sales, marketing, account services, and field sales.

His areas of expertise and interest include pharmacy benefit management (PBM), pharmacy services, health care innovation, integrated pharmacy benefits, and improving customer satisfaction. David's leadership and industry knowledge have been instrumental in shaping the health care landscape and driving positive change in the industry.
