David Hagar

David Hagar is a technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership roles. He worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at Twitter from May 2015 to January 2022, spending 6 years and 9 months in this position.2 During his time at Twitter, Hagar led various teams and spearheaded major projects across different areas of the company, including Revenue and Consumer groups.2

1. Initiating a rebuild of Twitter's runtime search infrastructure
2. Launching Twitter's live events product
3. Developing Twitter's ML Feature Registry
4. Overhauling user data storage and protection, including the creation of Twitter's first privacy dashboard

After leaving Twitter, Hagar joined Abnormal Security, where he initially served as Director of Software Engineering from January 2022 to November 2022.2 He was then promoted to Senior Director of Engineering at Abnormal Security, a position he has held since November 2022.2

Hagar has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, which he attended from 1997 to 2003.1 His career history also includes roles at TellApart, Proofpoint, and several other technology companies.12
