David Gilford is a seasoned professional with an impressive background at the intersection of the public and private sectors, specializing in policy and strategic partnerships. Currently serving as the Head of Policy and Strategic Partnerships at Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP), a company backed by Alphabet, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, and StepStone, David leverages his expertise to apply innovative technology to urban infrastructure systems.

Throughout his career, David has been actively involved in developing cross-sector programs to support innovation. As a Principal at HR&A Advisors and co-founder of the Broadband Equity Partnership, he played a pivotal role in designing digital and social infrastructure to bridge the digital divide. He also co-founded the Connected Communities practice at Intersection, where he focused on developing technology strategies for neighborhood-scale real estate developments.

Prior to his private sector roles, David held multiple leadership positions with the City of New York. Notably, he served as the Vice President for Urban Innovation & Sustainability at the New York City Economic Development Corporation and as the Director of the Center for Economic Transformation.
