David Ford

David Ford is an accomplished procurement professional with extensive experience in the industry. He holds an MA (Hons) degree from the University of Aberdeen and has held numerous senior leadership positions in various multinational organizations. David is the current Global Head of Procurement at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he leads the procurement function and oversees the development and implementation of procurement strategies.

Before joining Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, David served as Procurement Director - Professional Services and Global Category Leader - Recruitment & Staffing Services at GSK, where he successfully led various procurement and sourcing initiatives, resulting in significant cost savings and improved supplier relationships.

David's skills in procurement and strategic sourcing have enabled him to integrate procurement practices into different organizations he has worked for, including 2 Sisters Food Group and Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) Ltd, where he served as Senior Buyer, Category Manager, and Strategic Sourcing Manager.
