Prior to joining MDC Partners, Mr. Doft accumulated over 14 years of Wall Street experience, uniquely positioning him with a comprehensive understanding of advertising, technology, and digital media from various perspectives – sell-side, buy-side, and corporate. As an active angel investor in technology companies and digital media since 1995, he has been consistently recognized among the top analysts covering advertising and media.
David Doft transitioned to MDC Partners from Cobalt Capital, where he managed Media & Internet investments. His previous roles include working in the equity research divisions of renowned financial institutions such as Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities, ABN AMRO/ING Barings Furman Selz (where he became a Managing Director at the age of 29), and CIBC World Markets. He holds a BS in Economics/Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
