David Crowley
Milwaukee County Executive
David Crowley is the 7th County Executive of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.1 He was elected on April 7, 2020, and sworn in on May 4, 2020.2 Crowley is the first African American to hold the position and, at 33, also the youngest.145 He was reelected to a second term on April 2, 2024.34 His LinkedIn username is dccrowleywi.6
Crowley grew up in Milwaukee’s 53206 neighborhood and credits the youth organization Urban Underground for saving his life.2 Before becoming County Executive, he served as the State Representative of the 17th Assembly District from January 2017 to June 2020.6 He also worked as a community organizer and legislative aide.2 Prior to that, Crowley was the Policy Director for WI State Senator Nikiya Q. Crowley attended Bay View High School and is currently finishing his degree at UW-Milwaukee.34 He lives in Milwaukee with his wife, Ericka, and their three young daughters.234
