David Cohen-Tanugi

David Cohen-Tanugi is a senior technology leader with over 10 years of experience in research & development, innovation, and new product commercialization.

He has held leadership positions in technology startups, focusing on clean energy, IoT products, and data science, demonstrating a thoughtful and data-driven problem-solving approach.

Currently, David is involved in building climate & energy ventures at MIT's venture studio, after leading the smart devices & automation team at a Series D climate tech company.

His entrepreneurial journey includes founding a connected hardware startup that secured funding rounds up to Series B, successfully launching products and scaling the company.

David's passion lies in merging technological advancements, data insights, and customer needs to create high product-market fit technologies and products.

He achieved his Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from MIT, where his groundbreaking research in seawater desalination membrane technology garnered significant recognition.
