David Chu

David Chu is a Partner at Qiming Venture Partners, specializing in fundraising and investor relations with over 20 years of experience in the U.S. and China's venture capital landscapes.

Before joining Qiming, David served as a Senior Investment Officer at LACERA's Private Equity team, overseeing PE/VC co-investments and secondaries, with a track record encompassing $2.5 billion in commitments across various funds.

Previously, he co-founded and managed SVP Capital Advisors in Shanghai, leading key fundraising and M&A transactions with top VC firms and strategics, in addition to holding positions at Idealab, Schroders, and Arthur Andersen.

David holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and an MBA from Cornell University.
