Chappell honed his skills at esteemed publications like The Times, where he worked as Sports Editor and Managing Editor. With a wealth of experience in all aspects of daily newspaper production, he is well-versed in working within teams and has a proven track record of providing strong editorial and managerial direction to meet strict daily deadlines.

In addition to his editorial abilities, Chappell is also experienced in managing budgets, contracts, personnel, talent development, settling readers' complaints, and dealing with commercial arms of the newspaper business. He has also worked as a consultant, having helped devise and implement The Times' successful and award-winning strategy for covering the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London across print and digital platforms.

Chappell recently completed a three-year tenure in The Bahamas as Managing Editor of The Tribune, where he was responsible for day-to-day editing, expanding the publication's digital reach, and working with advertising and marketing teams.
