David Brown

Dr. David Brown is a seasoned professional with over 40 years of experience in medical research within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

He has held significant roles with top companies like Zeneca, Pfizer, GlaxoWellcome, and Hoffman La-Roche, and has served as President and Chief Executive of Cellzome AG.

Notably, at Pfizer, he was involved in the invention and development of Viagra, a drug later marketed for male impotence and pulmonary hypertension as Revatio, generating billions in sales. He also contributed to the discovery of Relpax for migraine treatment.

His passion for entrepreneurialism has driven him to coach CEOs and entrepreneurs at Cambridge University Business School and co-found various successful companies like Monthly Investor, Healx Ltd, and Crescendo Biologics.

Dr. Brown holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and a first-class Bachelor of Science degree from the University of East Anglia.

Additionally, he is actively involved in Buddhist meditation practices and teaches meditation at retreats both in the UK and internationally.

He is dedicated to charitable work as a Trustee and Chair of the charity Friends of Manjushree Vidyapith School and Orphanage, supporting destitute orphans in South Tibet.
