David Bodanis is a renowned author, futurist, and business advisor with a passion for storytelling and the power of ideas. Born in Chicago, he has lived in France for a decade and currently resides in London. He graduated from The University of Chicago with a background in mathematics, physics, and history.

David's career as an author began with the New York Times Bestseller "The Secret House" in 1986. He went on to write "E=MC2: A Biography of the World's Most Famous Equation" in 2001, which was longlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize and has been translated into 28 languages. His books "Electric Universe" and "Passionate Minds" both won awards: the Royal Society Science Book of the Year Prize, and the BBC Book of the Week, respectively. Most recently, David published "Einstein's Greatest Mistake" in 2016.

Aside from his work as an author, David has worked as a futurist and business advisor. He previously worked for the Royal Dutch Shell Scenario Prediction unit, as well as the future planning unit at the World Economic Forum. He has appeared on Newsnight, Start the Week, and other programs covering economics and technology, and even worked on an international study for the UK Treasury on the future of High-Frequency Trading.

David has a fascination with the power of ideas and telling stories to communicate them. In his spare time, he tries his hand at kickboxing, with varying degrees of success.
