David Asari
Principal, Asari Design
David Hisaya Asari is a graphic designer and design educator based in Oakland, California.1 He is a faculty member at California College of the Arts (CCA), where he teaches graphic design, focusing on information visualization, Diversity Studies, and other courses.1 He also leads an annual Japan study abroad course and co-chairs CCA’s Faculty of Color Research Alliance.1 Asari has deep roots in the Bay Area design community and is an active leader in AIGA.3 He is a past president of AIGA San Francisco and serves on the AIGA Design Educators Community Steering Committee.31 He is also an Advisor to San Francisco Design Week.1
