David Araya
President, CEO and Co-Founder at HoPe (Hispanic Organization Promoting Education), Inc.
David Araya is the Co-founder, President, and CEO of HoPe (Hispanic Organization Promoting Education), Inc., a nonprofit organization he founded at the age of 18.13 Born in Costa Rica, David immigrated to the United States at the age of 5.2 Personally impacted by the struggles of immigrant youth in America, he established HoPe to provide high school students with a community to belong and succeed.3
Under David's leadership, HoPe has grown significantly:
- It has expanded to 85 high schools across Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, and California.3
- The organization reaches over 4,000 families yearly and has achieved a 100% high school graduation rate among its senior members.25
- HoPe students have earned over $20 million in scholarships and grants.5
David has received several recognitions for his work:
- Honored by the White House for HoPe's achievements in Georgia2
- Named one of the "40 Under 40" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle2
- Recognized as one of "The Top 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia" by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce2

David holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Georgia Gwinnett College.4 He currently resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife, Angela, and their three daughters: Kaylee, Audrey, and Zoey.3
