Dave Umhoefer

Dave Umhoefer is a seasoned journalist with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has an extensive background in investigative reporting and has held key positions at reputable organizations.

Dave Umhoefer formerly served as the Director and Interim Director at The O'Brien Fellowship in Public Service Journalism, where he led fellow journalists in researching, reporting, and writing stories aimed at influencing policies and creating positive societal impacts.

In addition to his leadership roles, Dave Umhoefer has also contributed to academia as a part-time Instructor at Marquette University Diederich College of Communication, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with the next generation of journalists.

Before his transition into teaching and leadership positions, Dave Umhoefer built a solid foundation in journalism as an Investigative Reporter at the Pulitzer Prize-winning Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
