Darshan Gajara is a Berlin-based designer and maker with a diverse background in design and engineering. Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from K J Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar, Darshan has a solid foundation in technical knowledge. Additionally, he studied Vocational Science, specializing in Computer Science at S K Somaiya College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Vidyavihar.
Darshan's passion for design has led him to explore various facets of the field. His journey includes serving as the Head of Design at Hygraph, a role in which he oversees the design processes and strategies of the company. Prior to this, he was a Program Partner for Design Fellowship at Coho, where he facilitated a collaborative learning experience for designers. Darshan's expertise also extends to growth-oriented product design, as he previously worked as a Product Designer for Growth at Contentful.
Entrepreneurship runs in Darshan's blood, as he founded and published a platform called Product Disrupt, where he shares stories about design and travel, interviews creative individuals, and curates design resources for fellow designers. Moreover, he co-founded Project X, showcasing his commitment to building and leading innovative initiatives.
Darshan's proficiency in design consultancy is evident from his role as a Product Design Consultant for several notable companies, including Sapaad Pte Ltd and Wishberry.in. In these positions, he contributed to the development of user-centric products and experiences. Prior to that, Darshan held the position of Head of Design at Studysid, where he played a vital role in shaping the design strategy of the company.
In terms of education, Darshan holds a Design Fellow in Design Management from On Deck, which equipped him with strategic skills to navigate the design industry effectively.
