Darren Yee

Darren Yee is a former startup founder and operator who is currently involved in Pre-seed and Seed investments at a philanthropic fund based in New York University. He is dedicated to assisting students in developing business ideas, managing entrepreneurial programs, delivering guest lectures, and guiding teams through their fundraising endeavors. With a diverse background in industries such as construction, commercial real estate, mental health, and online education/creator economy, his primary focus is on supporting first-time founders on their entrepreneurial journey. Darren holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Management from New York University, with additional studies in Mechanical Engineering at NYU Tel-Aviv and at Lick-Wilmerding High School. His professional experience includes roles as a Venture Associate at the Innovation Venture Fund, Course Director at Forte Labs, Head of Operations at MyWellbeing, Director of Operations at Integrated Projects, Mechanical Engineer at Portent Technologies, and Co-Founder & CEO at Acculis, among other significant positions. Darren has also been actively involved in various projects and initiatives, such as being a Co-Founder and Team Captain at NYU Hyperloop, Process Development Specialist at FC Modular (a subsidiary of Forest City Ratner), Co-Founder and Project Lead at NYU Engineers Without Borders, and engaging in background work for major motion pictures at Grant Wilfley Casting.
