Darren Sroufe

Dr. Darren Sroufe is a retired Sergeant from the Evansville Police Department who served from 1994 to 2014.
Throughout his tenure, he held various roles such as Commander of the Records Section, Crisis Negotiation Team, and Patrol Supervisor.
Dr. Sroufe also served as the Chief of Police for the Dupont, Ohio Police Department.
He is a highly educated individual, holding a Doctorate of Divinity Degree and a Doctorate in Law Enforcement Management and Administration Degree from Madison University.
A graduate of St. Meinrad College and School of Theology, Dr. Sroufe has an extensive background in law enforcement and theology.
In addition to his law enforcement career, he has also been serving as a Chaplain for multiple organizations including the Evansville Police Department, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #73, Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, and the Evansville office of the ATF.
Dr. Sroufe has been actively involved in critical incident response, stress management, crisis intervention, and peer support for over 25 years.
He has responded to numerous line-of-duty deaths in Indiana, providing counseling and support to affected communities.
Furthermore, Dr. Sroufe has been appointed as the Chairman of the Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police Critical Incident / Memorial Team from 2006 to 2012.
Alongside his law enforcement duties, he has been an adjunct professor in the School of Criminal Justice at ITT Tech, instructing law enforcement agencies globally.
Currently, Dr. Sroufe holds the position of Director of Safety & Security at Saint Meinrad Archabbey and continues to contribute to various organizations.
