Darren Hansen

Darren Hansen is an accomplished Registered Nurse and Nurse Educator with a wealth of experience spanning over 27 years in both public and private healthcare sectors. He has excelled in emergency and critical care settings and provided clinical advice and care to diverse patient populations. He has also been committed to community services throughout his career.

Hansen's expertise in Nursing and Medical education is exceptional. He has mentored and supported students in their roles, ensuring they have a strong foundation for their future careers. Hansen's strong communication and team collaboration skills enabled him to work as the Procedural Skills Academic Program Tutor within the School of Medicine at the University of Queensland, and Program Manager and Nurse Educator within the Vocational Education Sector.

Hansen's educational background includes completing a Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, an Associate's Degree in Child Protection, and obtaining an Enrolled Nurse Certificate. He studied at several institutions, including James Cook University and Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Throughout his distinguished career, Hansen held various roles and responsibilities, including being a former Clinical Skills Tutor at the University of Queensland School of Medicine, a former Child Protection Officer at the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services, a former Registered Nurse - Rural and Remote at South West Hospital and Health Service, and a former Enrolled Nurse at Australian Defence Force (Civilian Contract), among others.
