Darin Van Ryswyk

Darin Van Ryswyk, a former police lieutenant at Iowa State University, is an accomplished professional with an impressive background in law enforcement and leadership. Currently serving as Deputy Chief of Police at Iowa State University, Darin is responsible for managing the daily operations of 24 officers and eight certified dispatchers. He has extensive experience in emergency operations planning, policy development, equipment acquisition, special events, and departmental training activities. Darin is also an expert in information systems and has a Master of Science in Management from the Iowa State University-Ivy College of Business. An experienced consultant, he was a Principle at Jacobs Florer & Van Ryswyk Consulting, and he also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Des Moines Area Community College. He is also the former owner of CWR Firearms Training and a chapter advisor at Farmhouse Fraternity. Furthermore, Darin is a volunteer at the Izaak Walton League of America (National Office) and a valued agency member on the Joint Terrorism Task Force for Central Iowa.
