Daria Ukhova

Daria Ukhova is a Research Associate in Sociology at the University of Glasgow.3 She is an interdisciplinary feminist social scientist with interests in sociology of health and well-being.3 Her research focuses on how gender and class impact health and well-being, as well as equitable health and social policy.3
Ukhova completed her Ph.D. in Sociology at the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences in 2021.3 She also holds an M.Sc. in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford, an MA in Women's and Gender Studies from Central European University & Utrecht University, and a BA in Psychology from St. Petersburg State University.3
Currently, Ukhova is leading the policy workstream of the Lancet Public Health Commission on Gambling at the University of Glasgow.3 Her previous work experience includes research and policy positions at organizations such as Oxfam and the World Health Organization.34
Ukhova's research has covered topics such as gender ideology in Russia16, the gender division of unpaid work in post-socialist contexts25, and public health approaches to gambling.5 She has published numerous articles and reports on these subjects.5
