Daria Tavana

Daria Tavana is a dedicated writer and nonprofit fundraiser with a strong focus on donor relations and event production. Currently serving as the Development Coordinator at World Science Festival, she has a notable track record of leveraging donor research, fundraising events, and digital communications to secure significant funding for causes related to racial justice, environmental protection, women's equality, historic preservation, and animal rights.

In addition to her professional role, Daria volunteers as the Program Manager of Amazing Vegan Outreach, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating activists on effective communication strategies. She holds a certification in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University and is deeply committed to promoting compassionate and healthy lifestyles among individuals.

With her prior experience as a vegan coach at PETA and her current involvement in grassroots outreach campaigns with The Humane League, Daria actively raises funds, including over $30K annually, to support initiatives aimed at protecting farm animals. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in playwriting and theatrical producing from Fordham University in 2011.

Hailing from South Jersey, Daria is an Iranian-American currently residing in Washington Heights, New York City. Her educational background includes studies in Theatre Arts, Journalism, Playwriting, Producing, and Creative Writing at Eastern Regional High School and Fordham University, respectively. Beyond her professional and volunteer pursuits, Daria remains deeply engaged in advocating for causes she is passionate about.
