    Darain Faraz is a seasoned brand marketing and communications leader with over two decades of experience in the social media and consumer technology sectors.

    In his previous role, he held leadership positions in Brand, Consumer Communications, and Social Media Marketing teams at LinkedIn on an international scale.

    Alongside his brother Sheeraz, Darain co-founded the award-winning not-for-profit organization People Like Us in 2020, aimed at addressing the underrepresentation of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic individuals in Marketing & Communications.

    Their advocacy has extended beyond marcomms, lobbying the UK government to mandate ethnic pay gap reporting.

    In September 2023, Darain, Sheeraz Gulsher, and Mike Levaggi launched Braver, a talent consultancy prioritizing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) to empower the UK marketing and comms industry towards more courageous diversity practices.

    Darain Faraz's expertise spans Social Media, Brand Marketing, Communications, Media Relations, Public Relations, LinkedIn, Technology, and Strategy Development.

    He pursued a Mini MBA in Marketing from Marketing Week with Mark Ritson and holds a 2:1 BA degree in Media & Psychology from Leeds Trinity University.

    His academic background includes 10 GCSEs with A & B grades, 3.5 A-Levels with B & C grades from St. Albans School, alongside education at Stopsley High School and William Austin Junior School.

    His past professional roles include leadership positions at LinkedIn, involvement with Braver and People Like Us, and experiences at various renowned organizations such as WWF, MySpace, and David Atkins Enterprises.
