Danny Shea

Danny Shea, a Charlottesville native, has built a career around his passion for art, music, and business. Currently working with Starr Hill Presents/Red Light Management, Danny handles booking shows at iconic venues like The Jefferson Theater and The Southern Cafe & Music Hall.

Despite holding two art degrees in illustration, Danny's career trajectory has been unconventional but has equipped him with extensive experience in managing booking calendars, contracts, promotion strategies, and venue operations.

His educational background includes a Master of Arts in Illustration/Design from Syracuse University, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts & Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a High School Diploma from Tucker High School.

Previously, Danny has been actively involved in organizations like the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention & Visitors Bureau and held roles at Starr Hill Presents/Red Light Management, Satellite Ballroom, and Plan 9 Music, showcasing his expertise in talent buying, promotions, and venue management.
